Posts cite other posts with a plain Markdown link to their URL — this one cites Hello, world.

That’s the whole mechanism. When a post is cited anywhere, a Referenced in section appears at the bottom of the cited post, listing every post that links to it. Go look at the bottom of Hello, world — this post is listed there now.

Nothing to maintain: the references are computed from the links at build time. Write normally, link when a point depends on an earlier one, and the trail back accumulates on its own.

This post and Hello, world are both demos — delete them when you start writing.
